The incredibly popular Ion paintball marker has been redesigned to integrate one of its users' most desired features – easy bolt-out-back maintenance.

Loyalhanna, PA – October 23, 2007 – Since its initial release, the popularity of the Ion electropneumatic paintball marker has grown by leaps and bounds. This is not at all surprising, considering that it was the first marker to provide true low-pressure electropneumatic operation with integrated anti-chop Vision at a price that was affordable to the typical recreational paintball player.

In a retail price range where all of the competing markers – even those with electronic grip frames – still rely on accuracy robbing spring and hammer valve systems from the 1990s, the Ion XE's integrated bolt/valve system, with only one lightweight major moving part, is propelled by digitally controlled, regulated low-pressure gas for fantastic accuracy and quiet operation. The result is tournament level performance, whether it is creeping through the woods or charging an inflatable bunker.

“For all of its outstanding performance, some players found the Ion a bit difficult to disassemble for maintenance,” said Smart Parts engineer Hans Semelsberger. Semelsberger is no stranger to the needs of the serious paintball player, himself having been in the professional winner's circle numerous times as a member of the All Americans.

“The players spoke and we listened,” said Semelsberger, “Bolt out back bodies have been a desirable upgrade, but unfortunately the combined cost of a new marker and bolt out back body was typically more than the price tag on our more advanced markers. With a minor redesign of the Ion's bolt assembly, we've been able to integrate easy bolt out back maintenance into the new Ion XE and deliver all of this in the same affordable price range.”

All of the Ion's outstanding features – a full metal grip frame and receiver, break-beam Vision anti-chop system, three-point adjustable trigger, high-flow rate Max-Flo IRG vertical regulator, digital control of timing, multiple firing modes, and interchangeable protective body covers – are a part of the new Ion XE, but now removing the bolt and entire valve system for regular maintenance requires only one tool and takes only a matter of seconds.

SP-1 – Tactical Versatility with Electropneumatic Performance

The new Smart Parts SP-1 Tactical marker delivers true electropneumatic performance combined with rugged scenario/milsim styling at a surprisingly affordable price.

Loyalhanna, PA – October 23, 2007 – With the release of the SP-8, Smart Parts redefined tactical paintball markers. A paintgun for the serious woods, scenario or milsim player didn't have to rely on early 1990s hammer and valve performance to operate. Now high-end electropneumatic operation has become even more versatile and affordable with the SP-1 Tactical Marker.

The SP-1 is more than just a marker, it is an affordable launchpad allowing players to build their own high-performance custom tactical machine. “It's simply amazing,” said Sean Scott. As both a Smart Parts wholesale specialist and member of the reigning national scenario challenge champions, the Smart Corps factory team, Scott is no stranger to the needs of today's woods oriented paintball player. “It's amazing to me,” he said, “that players who prefer mil-sim styling have had so few marker options that really take advantage of modern paintball technology. The SP-1 is changing that completely. Not only is it bringing high-end performance to the woods, but it's doing it at a price new players can afford.”

At the core of the SP-1 Tactical Marker lies the tremendously successful Ion bolt and valve system, with maintenance that is easier than ever before. An all-new quick-strip bolt sleeve unscrews from the back of the SP-1 allowing the bolt stop and bolt to be removed. Amazingly that is all that needs to be done for regular maintenance and cleaning.

The SP-1 bolt is controlled by Smart Parts exclusive micro solenoid valve and circuit board, allowing it to deliver recoil-free, quiet and consistent shooting that is impossible with its hammer and spring powered blowback competitors – even those with “electro grips.”

A removable trigger guard gives SP-1 Tactical owners the option of sticking with the stock single trigger for a pure milsim look, or switching to a two finger trigger and guard for increased rates of fire.

Key to the SP-1 Tactical's performance is the new Max-Flo R vertical regulator. Not only does this regulator provide optimal stability and flow with compressed air, but its integrated relief valve provides the solenoid valve and internal components with complete protection from the damaging pressure spikes associated with liquid CO2. Six tactical rails on the SP-1 Tactical's top and sides allow for limitless placement of sights, night-vision scopes, grips, risers and other tactical accessories. Its integrated tactical flashlight mount allows instant use of off-the shelf compact flashlights at a fraction of the cost of traditional tactical lights, and automatically aligns them perfectly with a barrel so they can even be used as a sighting system. Integrated mount points in the marker's rear also allow for the mounting of full length and telescoping stocks.

All of these features don't weigh the SP-1 down though. Its machined aluminum inner receiver is encased by a body and grip frame that are manufactured from firearms grade glass-fiber reinforced nylon, giving the marker lightweight maneuverability combined with military durability.

A simple design makes maintenance easy – even for the first-timer. Vibe maintenance and cleaning requires only unscrewing the bolt sleeve from the rear of the marker to extract its bolt stop and Ion compatible bolt. The Vibe is powered by the brand new Max-Flo R vertical regulator. In addition to fantastic low-pressure high-flow performance on CO2 or air, the Max-Flo R features an integrated relief valve system that provides complete protection against overpressure damage caused by CO2. Protected from the stresses of liquid CO2, the low operating pressure of the Vibe allows it to keep running in situations where CO2 chilling would starve its competition.

The all-new TransPod from Smart Parts, Inc. fits in standard packs, but its new design has a unique twist – a twist-lock that is. In a players' gear bag, the TransPod's three telescoping segments store compactly, in about 1/3 the space of a regular paintball pod. In a flash, it extends and locks into a full-sized pod, carrying only 5 to 8 less paintballs than a standard “140” sized tube.

PORQUEEEE!!!!! Como es posible que sigan sacando marker de rec que tengan vertical feed??? Es qeu nadie les informa a esta gente que a nosotros nos gusta poder mirar por arriba del cañon y en muchos casos poner miras , aunque no mas sean adornos para muchos? Es indignante!!!!!! Encima es linda esteticamenteeeee y debe funcionar de la put madre pero vertical feed , noooooooooo!!!!
